Support for patients and their relatives is also carried out through the Orphaned Children’s Fund. It was established in 2006 in response to the need for special care for children whose closest family members are or were taken care of by a hospice. The Fund also takes care of the healthy siblings of chronically ill children. By 2014, the Hospice Foundation helped about 6500 children through the Fund.
